This ladies and gentlemen is Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream. Delicious, delicious Turkey Hill Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream!!

I have a terrible sweet tooth. So bad that I think I just have a whole head full of sweet teeth! It's funny too because my body lets me know if I've been eating too much sugar, I get canker sores. Gross little canker sores on the inside of my mouth. Ususally I'll use some Anbesol to help get rid of them but other times I think "This is punishment for eating all that sugar when I shouldn't have!" and I'll just let it run it's course. Slighly masochistic? Possibly!

Anyway...the two things that I love more than anything and really are the only massive amounts of sugar I will consume are ice cream and ANYTHING involving caramel. I'm positive that my affair with ice cream stems from my father. He also loves ice cream and while growing up we would always eat a little bowl of ice cream after dinner. I remember he, my sister and I all sitting on the couch stirring our ice cream until it got about the consistency of a milk shake. I have NO idea why we did that but we did it a lot. I also remember scrutinizing every scoop of ice cream my mother dished out making sure that my sister and I had perfectly even amounts! I mean there is no way I could allow my sister to have even a possible morsel more of ice cream than me!

My favorite is chocolate chip cookie dough and Turkey Hill makes the best!
I pretty much never have sweets in my house, if I don't buy it, I can't eat it. Every once in a while though, I'll splurge. Last week while grocery shopping I needed to get some pretzels for work because I kept eating my coworkers and wanted to replace them for her. What happens to be in the same aisle as pretzels at my grocery store...the ice cream!! I haven't had some in freaking forever...literally months so I splurged!! And boy oh boy am I glad I did!

Sidenote: In the background is a card Liz gave me a few years ago but was so perfect I had to frame it. It is a quote from Ozzy Osbourne "The downside of being outrageous is that you have to go around explaining your fucking self to people." So true Ozzy, so true!

Hehe! Anyway...do any of you have a serious sweet tooth? Or are you more of a salty snack kinda person?

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Instax #8

So I completely forgot about my 52 Photos in 52 Weeks Project!!! I cleaned up my apartment and put my camera in a drawer and well...like they say 'Out of sight, Out of mind'.
Oops!!
Anyway...back on track, here is number 8!

I had to repot my plant from work last night and I love it sooo much. This is him. He started out as a cutting from a coworkers plant. I've had him since before Christmas and he started out as only 5 leaves and look at him now!!

I grew up in a house FULL of plants. My mother has quite a green thumb and even when we lived in little apartments, we had a garden with veggies growing on the deck and house plants everywhere inside! Now she has a giant green house, a huge veggie garden, a cute little English garden in front of the kitchen, a lily garden on the outside of the green house and a shade garden along her fence. When I have a house one day, I will definitely have gardens!!
Anyway...when I moved into my first apartment, I decided I needed tons of my own plants! My Mom gave me lots of cuttings from her own plants to grow and then I bought a few of my own. She even gave me a huge Mother in Law's Tongue plant that was older then me!! In my first apartment, all my plants thrived and I loved them all so much.
Then my sister and I got an apartment together and all of my plants died. It was so depressing, it was definitely something in that apartment. All my plants got some kind of fungus or mold or something, after a year...they were all dead. So for the 4 years we lived there, we had no plants. I just had a little English Ivy at work to bring some green into my life. Then a coworker of mine said that she would give me some cuttings of her Devil's Ivy and I was ecstatic!! So here he is just a few months later. He outgrew the original pot (well not really, that one was just ugly). Plus I really love these kind of self watering planters. There's a little spout thingy at the bottom and you just pour the water into the hidden resevoir, that way you don't risk over watering your plant. One of the top ways to kill a plant is by over watering! Which I totally learned when I was a newbie house plant owner. Anyway...this wondeful plant has reminded me that I should try and get some plants into my new apartment (well not so new, April 1 will be one year!) It is one of my goals this month to get at least one plant for home, if not more!
Do you guys have any house plants!?

Instax #7

For my 7th picture in my 52 Instax in 52 Weeks project I decided to show you my obsession with lists!

You can't read the lists in the picture (which I'm happy about - specifically because two of them show my budget for last and this month). You can see my little notebook that I keep in my purse and make daily to do lists, lists of things I want to make, need to buy, etc. It's opened to the list of Jeremy's birthday presents and his birthday breakfast I plan to make. You can also see here a big notebook. I use that for my weekly to do lists, craft to do lists, etc. That stays at home on my dresser. There's also my budgets somewhere in there and my list of meals for the week. I think my list of Granny Squares is in there too.

I'm a lunatic about lists! If I don't write things down, I have a really hard time thinking about anything else. I learned this when I was younger. I have a ton of journals (16 to be exact) from the age of 17-23ish I would write almost every day. I learned that it really helped my stress and depression. I was able to reflect on things and really figure out who I am and why I think and act the way I do. Over time I stopped writing. It was about the time that I started crafting again. Crafting has become completely therapeutic for me and does the same thing writing once did. It helps me calm my brain, lowers my stress and just lets me focus and think things out. However, I still need LISTS!! If I don't write things down, I get very overwhelmed and worry that I will forget something. So I write it down. Plus, there's nothing quite like the feeling you get after you check something off your to do list!

Do you make lists?!

Instax # 6

Number 6 in my 52 Photos in 52 Weeks project was so unexpected, I just had to take a picture of it! As I said yesterday, I'm not into the whole Valentine's Day thing really. Last night I made dinner for Jeremy and when he came over he had brought me a box of chocolates and a card. In the 2 1/2 years we've been together this is the first card he has ever gotten me! This is the 3rd Valentine's Day we've been together and this is the first time he ever even acknowledged the day, let alone give me chocolates! I was completely surprised. After I read the card, I actually started laughing at the thought of him in the card section of Walmart, crammed in with the other men, reading love cards and trying to pick one out for me. I was even more surprised that it wasn't a funny card. I've given him quite a few cards over the years and they're always funny, never sentimental. Even though I know he didn't write the words in this card, they were really sweet and actually made a lot of sense for us.
We ate a lovely dinner and watched War of the Worlds, it was a wonderful Valentine's Day!

I hope you had a great day too!

Instax 5

Here is Instax number 5 in my 52 Photos in 52 Weeks project. I'm pretty happy with myself for keeping up with this. I mean how hard is it to take one picture a week really? Ha!
I do keep my camera sitting right on my dresser so I see it everyday. I think that helps me not forget and to keep it always on my mind.
I'm having a hard time with taking the actual pictures though. They always seem off center from what I see in the view finder. I wish I could practice more without going through film =/
Does anyone have any tips for getting the pictures to come out more center? Or to come out like how I see the subject in the view finder? I looked in the manual and it says I could be too close but I've made sure that I'm not! Grr!
Anyway...here is my fabric stash! Well this is actually only about 1/3 of my fabric, these are just some of my favs at the moment.

I've always though of myself primarily as a sewer. Whenever people ask what kind of crafts I do, the first thing out of my mouth is "I sew." Which is funny, considering I've barely sewn anything in the last year. Crocheting and embroidery have taken over!! I did sew my sister an apron for this Christmas but I didn't take pictures of it =(
I used to reconstruct band tshirts and make tank tops and a few dresses for myself. I even made a pair of really awesome pants. I have a TON of patterns too, I might now be inspired to get them out and actually make something!

Instax 4

Here is the 4th picture in my 52 Weeks of Instax project.
I love Netflix!

I live on Netflix!
I don't have TV or internet at home so I just watch movies or tv shows that I get in the mail. Whenever I've had an issue, their customer service has always been so nice and helpful.
I don't know what I would do without Netflix. Some of the best shows I watched were The Wire, Dexter, Oz, Chappelle's Show, The Office, I just finished Daria: The Complete Series and I'm about to start Family Guy from the beginning. Anyone have any suggestions of good shows to watch? If a show is on TV I prefer it to be a few seasons in so that I don't have to wait so long!!

Instax 3

Here is Instax number 3 in my 52 Photos in 52 Weeks project.

This is my bear. When I was really little I called him Brownie and I had a white bear that I pretended was her sister and her name was Oatmeal. Somewhere along the line he lost the name Brownie and is now only referred to as My Bear. Is it ridiculous that a 27 year old still sleeps with a teddy bear?! Well I don't care...it's not like I suck my thumb (never did) or wet the bed! I only sleep with him when I'm alone, it's a comfort thing, both emotional and physically. I can jam him right under my head and shoulder and it's so perfect.
Anyway...I somehow just got very defensive about my bear =)
He looks sooo ragged, I can hardly believe it. I've had him my whole life. I got him from my Godfather who I actually don't know.
Story is that when my father and mother lived on the ranch (they trained horses together) my mother and one of the other handlers got into a fight and the guy almost pushed my mother down the stairs when she was pregnant with me. This other guy, who's name I don't even know stepped in and knocked him out. Thus, becoming my Godfather. I guess he got my bear for me too.
Kind of a weird story, but I like it.

Instax 2

Here is Instax number 2 in my 52 Photos in 52 Weeks project.

These are my Chucks (Converse, All Stars, Chuck Taylors, etc.). I have quite a few pairs of shoes that I love in their own way but nothing comes close to the love I have for my Chucks.
It all started when I was little, my sister and I practically lived outside. We rode our bikes all day, everyday but we never actually used the brakes. We would just drag our toes to stop the bike. After a while I guess my mom got sick of having to buy us new shoes because we wore through so many of them. She bought us the generic brand chucks because of the rubber toes. As a 6 year old, I had no clue about brand names and what not but when I got older I wanted "real" chucks and that's all I wore for years. There was a brief stint in middle school and the beginning of high school that I sported combat boots (the generic Doc Martin) and Vans. Those Vans were pretty amazing, they were black and I painted them in glitter nail polish and then every few weeks I would paint the rubber around the bottom rainbow colors with my nail polish. Anyway...then there was a rumor that chucks were stopping all their fun colors and designs and they would only be made in red, white, blue and the regular black and white. So of course my friends and I ran down to the mall and bought all the fun colors that we could! I ended up with bright yellow high tops and a pair of plaid low tops, but my plain black and white ones were still my favorite. Somewhere around age twenty I wanted just all black ones and that's all I've worn ever since. It's probably really weird that as soon as I put on these shoes (I'm wearing them as I type!) I feel so comfortable and at home or something. They just make me feel like Me!
It's kind of hilarious to think that at any point we thought chucks were going to stop making all the cool colors and designs when you see all the different ones they have now, it's out of control actually!

Here is the first photo I took for my 52 Photos in 52 Weeks project.
This is Jeremy, the love of my life! I took this picture Thursday night just before he was leaving. Every Thursday almost since we've been together, we have dinner together. Sometimes we go out, other times we just order in. We've also started watching movies, etc. I mean we eat dinner together and go out other days but Thursday is set in stone. It's kind of a date night, it's my favrite day of the week.
I also kind of love that his eyes are closed in this picture <3

52 Photos in 52 Weeks

Since the New Year, I've been seeing a bunch of 365 Projects sprouting up around blogland. I really love the idea of taking a picture everyday for an entire year but I think I would get really overwhelmed and not actually enjoy the project. I had a hard enough time with the two journal classes I did everyday for a few months (I didn't even finish the I Heart Fall class!) Over on The Dainty Squid, Kaylah inspired me to take 52 Photos in 52 Weeks. My Mom got me an Instax Mini 7S for Christmas and I've been itching to use it. I think this will be the perfect opportunity!
I've decided that I want to have a theme throughout the pictures but I don't want it to be something that will get repetitive and probably boring. I am going to take a picture every week of What I Love. It's that simple...anyone, any place or anything I love!
Oh and all the pictures will be using my Instax (if I didn't make that clear already) and I think I am going to try to find a little photo album or make my own to keep them all in. I already took a few pictures with the camera and I love the way they look!! (These are not my pictures below, obviously...I don't have a dog!)

I love photographs and taking them but sometimes I hate how with a digital you can really edit what you've taken or take about 100 pictures in no time at all to make sure you get the perfect one. My favorite pictures are from when I was a little kid and you took one picture and that was it. Out of focus, someone blinking or making a funny face, it doesn't matter, that picture goes in the photo album! I'm very excited and I already know what my first picture is going to be of!

Is anyone else doing a 365 or 52 Project or something that is going to run all year?!
