Swap-Bot

Most of you know my love of Craftster. I've done a few swaps on there and I really want to start on one of my 2011 Goals for a hoop love wall. There aren't any swaps on Craftster that I want to do at the moment and I really don't think I could organize one myself.

A couple weeks ago Courtney posted about joining Swap-Bot. I had looked into this site a few times in the past but never fully understood it, especially after being so used to the way Craftster is set up. I decided to give it another looksy and I found a swap that is just what I'm looking for! Cross Stitch Surprise. There's no theme and you just stitch something up that you think your partner would like. I was lucky that I could get in on this swap since the majority of them you have to already have participated in past swaps and be rated =(
I'm pretty excited and I can't wait to get my partner so I can start brainstorming some ideas!

Have any of you used Swap-bot? What was your experience?

I've been on there for four years!! It can be so much fun for people who love crafts AND snail mail!

Have fun!

I have heard so many people mention Swap-Bot and it sounds really cool. BUT! I checked out the website, and to be honest, I was just confused! Might have to take a second look at it because I LOVE swaps. :)

I've used it a couple of times but I think I prefer craftster.

Mostly because the last swap I did I never recieved and the organiser didn't bother to follow up what happened or why and I didn't get anything. Especially when I sent to Wales from NZ and it was pricey to post.

I'd been to hear if others have had better experiences than me though! Maybe I just had a bad group or something?

I signed up so early for this swap, it doesn't start until April 15th and I'm sooo anxious to get my partner's info so I can start!!

I've been swapping on Craftster for a few years now and have looked at SwapBot, but it is difficult for me to get through it. It feels a bit overwhelming--maybe because there's so much going on. Something for everyone, I guess.

Susan - there definitely is a lot going on on swap-bot. all I do is filter for just the Craft swaps to try and make it less overwhelming!
